James Robert Bryant, Sr., known as “Bobby”, founded the agency on April 1, 1984. The agency was a spin off from R. F. Bryant & Son, Inc., which had been in the insurance business since 1897. The current officers of the agency are the fourth generation family members in the insurance business. The current officers are J. Robert (Bobby) Bryant, Jr., President, David F. Bryant, VP, and Mary J. Bryant, Secy. & Treasurer.  

J. Robert Bryant, Sr. was instrumental in the founding of the Professional Insurance Agents association in South Carolina. Both Robert Sr. and Robert Jr. have served on the Board of Directors of PIA of SC. Prior to the founding of the PIA of SC, Robert, Sr. was an officer and director of the Carolinas Association of PIA. 

The main focus of the agency is offering personal lines, commercial lines, as well as life and health insurance in Orangeburg County.
